Our Story

Owner, Buddy Collins III, has grown up in the pool construction industry here in Central Florida. His dad, Bud Collins, still owns and operates a pool excavation and grading business which takes great pride in providing top notch services to our homeowners. After working different phases of construction and for larger pool companies, Buddy felt as though he had something to offer to the pool industry. His vision was to give homeowners an exceptional pool building experience.

After receiving his contractor’s license, Buddy and Tennille started CollinsBuilt Pools, Co. The mission for CollinsBuilt Pools is to build custom swimming pools that are not only meant to bring fun but provide peace of mind to the homeowner that they are receiving a quality product. Every opportunity we have to build a pool, we add a new member to our CollinsBuilt family.

Meet Our Team

Buddy Collins
Owner, Licensed Contractor
Buddy is passionate about your pool. From creative design to construction management, you can find him working hard to ensure your pool is built with the highly quality material and skill. On his days off Buddy enjoys traveling with his wife, Tennille, and two kids, Charlie and Lossie. He also LOVES going to the movie theatre to eat popcorn and occasionally watch a movie. Ask him what movie he has last seen and watch him light up.
Tennille Collins
Owner, Designer
Most of her work is done behind the scenes but rest assured Tennille has put a lot of thought into your pool design and functionality. Any free time she gets, Tennille loves to relax at the beach with her family. Fun fact - Tennille is a licensed Doctor of Pharmacy so feel free to call her Dr. At work she loves making relationships with new members of the CollinsBuilt family through design and the building process.
Danny Doherty
Licensed Contractor, Supervisor
Previous owner of Custom Pools by Danny, Danny Doherty has over 40 years of experience. Danny is a wealth of knowledge and we are so grateful to have him as a part of the CollinsBuilt Crew. On his day off, you’ll find Danny at the St. Johns Spa on Fridays for his weekly mani and pedi - just kidding. Danny loves to work in his free time. On the job, Danny finds great satisfaction in knowing the job is done correctly.
